The new Ritchie Hall is more than a building. It will be a gathering place for arts, recreation, celebrations, learning, and connection for generations to come. While construction funding is largely secured, community support is still needed to finish and furnish the spaces that will bring the hall to life.

Support the Community Kitchen

Target - $32,288 - we only need $12,915 to reach the target!

What’s it for? Wall oven, counter fridge, wall cabinets for storage, cabinetry for an island and two serving counters, washer/dryer all in one unit.

August 26 Concert with Martin Kerr - volunteer!

With 50/50 raffled and Aug 26 Concert Volunteer, help create a kitchen space that will support:

  • Catering or concessions for community events

  • Food workshops and classes

  • Canning and preserving sessions

  • Food security initiatives

The kitchen was identified by residents as one of the most important features of the new hall—a place where food brings people together and knowledge is shared across generations.

The Kitchen area is not a commercial kitchen but instead a place for catering staging, workshops for canning and baking, and wheelchair accessible. 

Energize Ritchie – Solar Sponsorship

Target - $140,000 - we need $59,500 for 150 panels

What’s it for? Solar panels, micro-inverters and installation

Recognition: Name a solar panel for $475 and become part of the solar map on display in the hall.

Support Ritchie to become one of Edmonton's most sustainable community spaces with a solar-powered, carbon-zero building. Sponsors can dedicate a panel in honour of a loved one, family, or business and become part of the hall's renewable energy legacy.

The solar generation will reduce operating costs and provide climate resiliency.

Make it truly inclusive - accessible for all abilities

Target - $17,010 - we only need $6,805 to reach the target.

What’s it for? Hand free doors, braille maps of the facility and washrooms, colour contrast for visually impaired, sound panels that dampen sound in the large space.

Help create a fully accessible space that will support:

  • Wheelchair accessibility at all entries

  • Colour contrast and braille wayfinding and signage

  • Noise control sound panels 

Create Spaces for Arts & Recreation - Indoors and Out.

Target - $167,370 - we need $137,370 to reach the target.

What’s it for? Partition wall, rubber flooring, repairing and resurfacing the plaza, court and rink, add basketball nets.

Support the flexible program spaces that will host:

  • Dance and movement classes

  • Drama and theatre programs 

  • Adult fitness and wellness programs

  • Sportball and children's recreation

  • Girl Guides and youth leadership programs

  • Social gatherings for seniors, men, women, new moms, and diverse cultural groups.

  • Workshops, clubs, and community learning

  • Plaza area that supports pickleball, youth sports, and winter skating

  • Court area that supports pickleball, basketball, ball hockey, and ice hockey/basketball/pickleball.

These adaptable rooms will make affordable community programming possible for residents of all ages while supporting local instructors.

Donations to Bring Community Events to Life

Target - $70,350

What’s if for? We need all to have the stage, lighting, seating

Help equip gathering spaces that will host:

  • Community BBQs and celebrations

  • Local musicians and comedians

  • Concerts and theatre performances

  • Cultural festivals

  • Local vendor markets and fundraisers

  • Family celebrations and community meetings

  • Winter and skating events

The new hall will feature flexible event spaces for up to 275 people, creating a much-needed venue for community events and emerging artists in Edmonton.
