We have launched Phase 2 of fundraising to operationalize the new hall once complete. Here’s line-up of ways you can join in adding the finishing touches for efficiency, accessibility, and community gathering for all ages, abilities and interests.

Kitchen Fundraiser - Martin Kerr Concert

We're looking for volunteers (18+) to donate time and provide event security at Ritchie resident Martin Kerr's concert at Hawrelak Park on August 26 in partnership with Bent Stick.

This is a fun opportunity to enjoy a great evening of live music while helping the Ritchie Community League raise funds for our new hall kitchen cabinetry and appliances.

Volunteer duties include:
• Monitoring the crowd from assigned stations
• Ensuring alcohol remains with adults and stays within the fenced licensed area
• Rotating between stationary and roaming positions

Please note:
• Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older
• Transportation is your responsibility (carpooling from the Ritchie parking lot is encouraged)

50/50 Raffle for Kitchen Appliances

Help create a kitchen space that will support:

  • Catering or concessions for community events

  • Food workshops and classes

  • Canning and preserving sessions

  • Food security initiatives

The kitchen was identified by residents as one of the most important features of the new hall—a place where food brings people together and knowledge is shared across generations.

The Kitchen area is not a commercial kitchen but instead a place for catering staging, workshops for canning and baking, and fully accessible for all abilities.

Total target amount $32,288 - we need $12,915 to reach the target!

First Event: July 25 to September 19 (league day announcement)
Tickets: $10 for one, $20 for three, $50 for ten, $100 for 25
Total tickets - 2,000

Solar Panel - Sponsorship / Memorial

Sponsors can dedicate a panel in honour of a loved one, family, or business and become part of the hall's renewable energy legacy.

Your support helps fund:

  • Rooftop solar generation

  • Reduced operating costs for community programming

Recognition: Name a solar panel for $475 and become part of the hall's donor legacy program.

Target - we need $59,500 to close the gap - we already raised $84,000!

Furnish the new hall - get a tax receipt

We have funding for the building and now we need to finish the space with a partition wall, rubber flooring, braille signage, the stage, and a few other details that support the next chapter of affordable programs and community events.
