Ritchie Workshop: Salve and Soak - with New Grocery Movement

  • Ritchie Community League 7727 98 Street Northwest Edmonton, AB, T6E 5C9 (map)

Come join New Grocery Movement and Nehiyaw Elder Trudy Corless.

Join in for a hands-on, Indigenous-led workshop where we’ll create a batch of cedar salve and rosehip bathsalts, a healing blend rooted in tradition, care and connection.

We'll gather to learn about the plant medicines, learn how to blend these ingredients, and to take home a cedar salve & rosehip bath salts.

Trudy is a Nehiyaw Iskwew; her roots are from Sucker Creek/Driftpile, she and her family have called Edmonton home for 30 plus years. She has worked in the Central Edmonton Community in different supportive roles to help families in whatever capacity they needed. She has learned and lived Indigenous traditional teachings and culture, and has made it her life work to pass those teachings on to others, in order to preserve and grow her community. She embodies ‘All My Relations’ as she is welcoming, inclusive, and holds safe space for all.
