Lisa: I’m the current VP of the RCL board. I am a settler with European ancestry, but I’ve called Edmonton home for my whole life. My “9 to 5” is at a non-profit organization where the unfortunate reality is that the majority of our clients are unhoused Indigenous folks. i see the generational impacts of residential schools on survivors and their descendents every day, and as a settler I’m not only committee to learning our shared history, but also sharing with other settlers. I firmly believe that settlers must step fully into their role in reconciliation - however imperfectly - and I welcome you to join today no matter where you are on your personal journey.
