Building More Than a Hall: Strengthening ...

Community isn’t just about proximity, it’s about connection, belonging, and looking out for one another. It’s about creating a space where friendships are formed, where people can turn when they need support, and where everyone feels like they are part of something bigger than themselves. That’s why we’re working hard to build a new Ritchie Hall, not just as a physical space, but as a home for connection, resilience, and belonging.

Crime has been on people’s mind in Ritchie lately. Our Facebook feed and town hall meeting with Councillor Mike Nickel and Police Chief Dale McFee in late September showed just how frustrated residents and police are with how things stand. One way to reclaim our sense of security is by knowing who to call and when if we spot something that’s not right.

Long-forgotten funding idea resurrected

Some 40 years ago, a new park in Ritchie was paid for by levying funds on new construction projects. Could a similar levy help the league rebuild our hall, rink and sports courts? Updated June 2021.
