Ritchie History Walk

X2 back-to-back walks (10:30 - 12:30 and 1:00 - 3:00)

*first walk sold out*

Back by popular demand, we excited to announce we will be hosting another Historical walking tour led by history researcher and podcaster Chris Chang-Yen Phillips.

  • Did you miss last year's event? Check it out by listening here.
  • Do you have burning questions about Ritchie's history?

Edmonton's 4th Historian Laureate Chris Chang-Yen Phillips wants to help you find out the answers with a walking tour and a podcast. Maybe you've wondered what's up with the trees that got cut down on Whyte Ave, who was here 150 years ago, or whether it's true that trains ran through Mill Creek Ravine, or whether this area was ever underneath a glacier.

At 10:30 am and 1 pm on Sunday, June 10, Chris will lead a walk around the neighbourhood based on your questions. We will meet at Ritchie Community League at 10:30 am or 1 pm to start the walking tour. And later in June, highlights from the walk will be featured on his local history podcast, Let's Find Out.

Come join us for a neighbourhood walk in Ritchie and we can find out about Ritchie's history together!
